How to Play NYT Spelling Bee

Spelling Bee is a daily word puzzle from The New York Times where you create words using 7 letters arranged in a honeycomb pattern. The goal is to find as many words as possible and reach the "Genius" rank.

Spelling Bee Rules

  • Words must be at least 4 letters long - No 2 or 3-letter words allowed.
  • Every word must include the center letter - The yellow letter is required in every answer.
  • Letters can be reused - Use the same letter multiple times (e.g., BANANA).
  • Only the 7 given letters - You cannot use letters outside the honeycomb.
  • No proper nouns - Names, places, and brands don't count.

  • Try common suffixes: -ING, -ED, -ER, -EST, -LY, -TION expand your word count.

  • Don't forget double letters: Words like BANANA, ASSESS, COFFEE use repeated letters.
